The first known instance of a Chiss Capital Ship, the Bloodfire is derived from the classic Star Destroyer design. Comparable in size to an Imperial Interdictor, the Bloodfire is designed primarily as a heavily armed support vessel and starfighter deployment craft. Its lighter frame and therefore speed makes it an excellent craft to aid a starfighter hit and fade operation. However, it boasts far more Turbolaser batteries than any other starship it's size, making it capable of duties that would normally be assigned to an Imperial Star Destroyer. It is little wonder it was the first Chiss starship to engage the Yuuzhan Vong and emerge triumphant.
