say, very special thanks to George Lucas.

-------------------

Thank you for taking the time to download 'Rebellion'. If you hate StarWars, loathe X-Wings and
buy toilet paper with TIE Fighters printed on it, you downloaded the wrong file. If not, I
promise you won't be disappointed. Take a few minutes to read this file and properly set up the
campaign to work with your version of X-Wing vs TIE Fighter: Balance of Power, and you are set
to go save the galaxy!

Rebellion is my second campaign. It plays directly after the first, known as Aftermath of the
Clone Wars. You presumably found this campaign as a .ZIP file. It should include the following
files:

RBL.TXT - This text file.
C2M1.TIE through C2M8.TIE - The eigth mission files.
RBL.LST - The campaign file.
BRIEF2.TXT - Text file of all eight briefings.
UPDATE.TXT -	A list of all updates since v1.0.

Rebellion tells the story of a newly formed Rebel Alliance. Most missions were at least loosely
based on existing missions from the original X-Wing game. The last mission of the campaign is
the Battle of Turkana which debuts the X-Wing starfighter.

All missions of this campaign are chronological, although some have more
cohesion than others. They all come with briefings and many are multiplayer capable,
although the campaign was primarily intended for single player use.

The campaign has been tested at medium difficulty level, single player. Some missions
are more challenging than others, but all can be completed at medium. At hard, some
missions may be almost impossible to win, especially those featuring many starfighters
on both sides (such as the Battle of Turkana). On easy, many missions will be little more
than milk runs - this setting is ideal if a particular mission frustrates you.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

You MUST have the retail version of X-Wing vs TIE Fighter, and the official
expansion, Balance of Power. If you don't have BoP and you are interested in
an XvT version of 'Rebellion', mail me. If I get enough
requests, an XvT version will be made available.

If you have both XvT and BoP, installation is fairly easy. First, copy the
files C2M1.TIE through C2M8.TIE (the eight mission files) to your BoP
training directory (normally c:\progra~1\lucasa~1\xwingtie\balanc~1\train).
Next, copy the file RBL.LST to your BoP campaign directory, usually
c:\progra~1\lucasa~1\xwingtie\balanc~1\campaign.

Now, you will have to edit a few files. Notepad or Wordpad are the most suitable programs
to do this. First, find the files MISSION.LST and REBEL.LST in the campaign directory, as
given above. Copy the following text into these files:

4
rbl.lst
Rebellion

If there is already a custom mission numbered 4, pick any other number that
is not yet in use. (The original game uses only 1 and 2, so if you have no other custom missions
installed, there's nothing to worry about.)

Next, find the files MISSION.LST and REBEL.LST in your TRAINING directory. You'll have to add
the following text to these:

//
[Rebellion]
//
801
c2m1.tie
Mon Calamari Gauntlet
802
c2m2.tie
Convoy Raider
803
c2m3.tie
Corvette Alley
804
c2m4.tie
SOS from Corvette Karinne
805
c2m5.tie
The Kessel Run
806
c2m6.tie
Pakuuni Arms Deal
807
c2m7.tie
Interception and Capture
808
c2m8.tie
Battle of Turkana

Again, if you have previously installed custom missions, check their numbers. Every mission
MUST have a unique number, so if any of the numbers above is already in use, change it to
whatever you like. Just make sure the numbers in the MISSION.LST and REBEL.LST files match.

Once this has been done, you are ready to play. Start Balance of Power as
normally, then choose the Rebel side, select 'campaigns', and choose the
campaign 'Rebellion'. Alternatively, select 'training' and fly any of the eight missions.
May the Force be with you!

NOTE: Because these missions do not support at least five players, the
Briefing Texts do not show. The Debriefings work fine, as does the Briefing
Map. I have included all eight Briefing Texts in a text file named brief2.txt.
I suggest you print this out and read each briefing before beginning the
missions. You can play without them, but there will be small gaps in the
storyline.

ABOUT REBELLION
This campaign was originally published on the page 'Fox Squadron HeadQuarters',
which you can find at http://zap.to/FoxHQ. No part of this campaign may be
distributed without my prior permission. If you wish to publish this campaign on your web
page, please drop me a mail.

This campaign is in no way related to the strategy game "Rebellion" (known as "Supremacy" in
the UK). The shared name is purely a coincidence. Okay, okay, I admit, I just thought it was
a cool name. So sue me.

If you have any comments, questions or suggestions regarding this campaign,
please don't hesitate to mail me. Bug reports are also welcome. My E-mail
