Special thanks to Fox_RoadRunner for testing this campaign, and helping me
set it up for the Outbound Flight Quick Installer.

-------------------

Thank you for taking the time to download 'Aftermath of the Clone Wars'. This
is my first campaign and I intend to write many more.

You presumably found this campaign as a .ZIP file. It should include the
following files:

ACW.TXT - This text file.
C1M1.TIE through C1M8.TIE - The eigth mission files.
ACW.LST - The campaign file.
IMPERIAL.LST - Modified IMPERIAL.LST file.
MISSION.LST - Modified MISSION.LST file.
BRIEF1.TXT - Text file of all eight briefings.
UPDATE.TXT - Summary of all changes since V1.0.
CAMPAIGN.TXT - Setup file for OFQI (not required).

Aftermath of the Clone Wars plays early on in the StarWars story. The Empire
has just been formed, and the Rebel Alliance does not even exist yet. Your
enemies are therefore pirates, smugglers, renegades and traitors - and no
nifty TIE Advanced for you, either! Most missions put you in a TIE Fighter or
TIE Bomber (except for the last, in which you get an Interceptor).

All missions of this campaign are chronological, although some have more
cohesion than others. This campaign does NOT include custom .WAVs as I had
promised before, because that would increase the size of the .ZIP file to
about 4 megabytes, which would use up half of my web page room. Sorry about
that.

The campaign has been tested at medium difficulty level, single player, and
is not too hard to complete. At hard level, some missions may be almost
impossible to win (especially those featuring a lot of enemy starfighters,
like 1-8: Star Destroyer Clash). This is because the skill level of all
enemy pilots increases on hard level, while the skill of all your wingmen
decreases. On easy level, all missions should be milk runs, and your wingmen
will do most of the work. This setting is ideal if a particular mission
frustrates you.
Some of these missions support more than one player. If you are playing with
two or more players, you may wish to give the hard setting a second chance.
Note that, in order to play this mission multiplayer, all players must have
the campaign installed.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
(Note: If you have the Outbound Flight Quick Installer, skip this section and
read OFQI procedure for installation instructions.)

You MUST have the retail version of X-Wing vs TIE-Fighter, and the official
expansion, Balance of Power. If you don't have BoP and you are interested in
an XvT version of 'Aftermath of the Clone Wars', mail me. If I get enough
requests, an XvT version will be made available on my page.

If you have both XvT and BoP, installation is fairly easy. First, copy the
files C1M1.TIE through C1M8.TIE (the eight mission files) to your BoP
training directory (normally c:\progra~1\lucasa~1\xwingtie\balanc~1\train).
Next, copy the file ACW.LST to your BoP campaign directory, usually
c:\progra~1\lucasa~1\xwingtie\balanc~1\campaign.

If you do not have any other custom missions installed, you can then copy
the files mission.lst and imperial.lst to your BoP campaign directory (as
above), overwriting the existing ones. If you already have other custom
missions and don't want to lose them, the procedure is slightly more
complicated.

First, copy the following text to your existing IMPERIAL.LST file:

3
acw.lst
Aftermath of the Clone Wars

If you already have a custom mission numbered 3, pick any other number that
is not yet in use.

Next, copy the same text to your existing MISSION.LST file, again picking
a different number if 3 is already in use. The SAME number must be used in
both .LST files. (If you wish to play with more than one player, the campaign
must be installed on every system, and with the SAME number!)

Once this has been done, you are ready to play. Start Balance of Power as
normally, then choose the Imperial side, select 'campaigns', and choose the
campaign 'Aftermath of the Clone Wars'. Have fun!

NOTE: Because these missions do not support at least five players, the
Briefing Texts do not show. The Debriefings work fine, as does the Briefing
Map. I have included all eight Briefing Texts in a text file named brief1.txt.
I suggest you print this out and read each briefing before beginning the
missions. You can play without them, but there will be small gaps in the
storyline.

---OFQI PROCEDURE---

If you have the Outbound Flight Quick Installer (OFQI) program, simply drag
the following text file over the shortcut to the OFQI program to auto-install
the missions. Then you can drag the "campaignsetup" text file over the OFQI
program to setup the missions as a campaign in the game also.

!begin

file:
BalanceOfPower/Train/Mission.lst
BalanceOfPower/Train/Imperial.lst
